The 80s had better toons, i'll give you that. Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats, Defenders of the Earth, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Turtles, and each of them that have been remade have sucked ass
-Transformers is now done by Takara in license from Hasbro (Note: never let a Japanese company get hold of a western thing and Vice Versa)... Who took it in the direction of the anime styles. Cause... Japan loves big robots... and stuff...
-He-man was a attempt to appeal to kiddies these days (and failed). Most of the old stories were redone, but it wasn't the same. The serpentmen Saga was the biggest let-down.
-Thundercats comics still runs to this day (seen it in comic shops) so thats still going. and it hasn't changed. But its no longer a big cannon making big noises. I still got the Video of the first ep. somewhere.
-Jayce and the W.W. was meant to have another series, telling more of the story. I've seen site on a word from the writer, who told the site what WAS gonna happen in the series that followed. However I think it never happened because of a funding cut... Or something like that. I read the site about 2 years ago... I can't remember anymore then that.
-Turtles. Again like he-man it was a update. Not the same because... For one they made it too macho and there was none of the dumb plots from the orginal. Plus 95% of the side characters were forgotten. Plus, the francise was not as exploited as the last one (Hell I even had a Turtles game for the ATARI STE!).
Don't remember Defenders of the Earth.
Things I never want to see again:
-My little pony (sadly they brought it out)
-Straberry shortcake (but they did)
-Rainbow brite (made by the makers of S.Shortcake... And unfortantely they ARE going to remake her next...)
-She-Ra. She was just agirlie verison of He-man... His cousin too... but who cares.
-Any other girlie program I can think of from the 80s.
They think all us girls at the age of 6-12 think the same and watch the same. These days most girls watch many of the boys programs anyway. So why bother making them?
