Mortal Movie Monday - MK: The Tobias Diamond

This week's <b>Mortal Movie Monday</b> feature is a recently released fan made <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/mortal_kombat_1">Mortal Kombat</a> short film called <b>"The Tobias Diamond."</b> Created by <a href="http://InfluenceFilms.com">InfluenceFilms</a>, the film features some new storyline that follows Mortal Kombat characters <b>Sonya Blade</b> and <b>Scorpion</b> fighting over the mysterious <b>Tobias Diamond</b>. Here is the description of the film:

The popular video game characters Scorpion and Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat come to life in this exciting fan film. When Scorpion harms Sonya Blade's partner so he can steal the Tobias Diamond, Sonya is instructed to go to Outworld and get the diamond back from Scorpion. However, she isn't only after the diamond, she is also after revenge for her partner. It isn't until Sonya catches up to Scorpion in Outworld that she realizes, she isn't the only person out for revenge - so is Scorpion!

The film is pretty interesting and worth a watch, also keep an eye out for many MK franchise references like the <b>Tobias Diamond</b> and a doctor named <b>Dr. Boon</b>. Wait wait wait... Scorpion shoots lightning?

Why do amateur film makers never know any attractive women? Sonya looks like the Queen, and the way she sucks in her stomach is revolting.

Why couldn't they spring for some white contact lenses? Those fake eyes look terrible...

Anyhow, Scorpion and Kahn had pretty convincing actors. But Sonya and the Doctor were...well, Soap Opera quality. Also, HOORAY SCIENCE! It's gives us otherwise unattainable plot information! Why must "independent" always mean "terrible"?

As for Sonya's looks, that actress looks just fine. Though she is terrible at acting.
