    Sunshine State, here I come.

Since I've got a vacation coming from my crappy job as a deli man, on June 3rd, 2006, I'm going to Ft. Lauderdale for some fun in the sun, some time with my sis and her family, and a Twiztid concert. (Not exactly in that order.) I'll be back on the 11th.

    Defenders of the Earth.

Now, some of you may not remember the short-lived, but bad-ass, Defenders of the Earth, but I do. It stars four of the first ever comic heroes. Here's a brief description of the characters. Flash Gordon-Ace pilot and skilled marksman. He has a strong sense of justice, like all the other...

    A fat orange cat cartoon.

This is about a fat orange cat that kids loved. Only this cat did a lot more than sleep around and eat lasagna. He went out and laid beat-downs on everybody who crossed him, or decided they weren't gonna let him do what he wants. I'm talkin' about Heathcliff. He's one bad motha.... (Shut yo...

    Farewell, Don Knotts.

Don Knotts, quite possibly one of the most defining faces of comedy, has died of respiratory complications at the age of 81. He got instant recognition when he played Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show. He then went on to play in many movies, and then came back to TV as the clueless...

    Ultimate Avengers

Anyone ever had a shot to watch this animated film from Marvel? I had a couple of days off, and I was able to watch the movie. It was pretty damn good to me, and well worth the 17 bones I laid donw for it. IMO, the only thing missing from the movie were these two words: "HULK SMASH!!!"

    PETA-You make the call.

I got some divided opinions about this on other forums I've been on, so I figured I'd try my luck here. I know that People for the Ethnical Treatment of Animals is a hot-button topic for some, but what have I got left to lose? I'm interested in your views on PETA. Do you believe them to be a...

The Italian's Christmas in New York.

    RIP-Pat Morita, 1932-2005

I just read this morning that Japanese-American actor, Pat Morita, the man who was Arnold from Happy Days and Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid, died on Thanksgiving. As a person, I know he'll be missed. As a fan, I know he will be known as an acting legend. Domo, Miyagi-sensei.

    Grim Reaper of Electronics

Last month, my computer died. Tuesday, my PlayStation 2 died. Every machine I touch ends up dead, it seems. In fact, I'm wearing latex gloves, just so I don't jinx this computer. I'll be lucky if the Slurpee machine at the 7-Eleven I got a Darth Dew Slurpee from doesn't die, too. Sometimes, I...

    Least favorite movie?

Once in a lifetime, there are movies that reshape the world of cinema. A fine example is Akira Kurosawa's, "The Seven Samurai." Another would be, "Ivan the Terrible." Then there are movies you wish were never made. Movies that are either boring, insulting, or just plain bad. What's your least...

Which outsider would be a good addition to MK?

I thought of a few names that would feel at home in the Mortal Kombat game. Which one do you like best? There's Rayne, the goth half-vampire woman from BloodRayne, Rick Taylor, the masked mauler from Splatterhouse, Cash, the man marked for death in the ultra-violent Manhunt, the Nemesis, a...
