I think I know what you mean. The paint could be like a curse or something, literally making it as a form of skin to him. So if the paint is cut, he bleeds. And since it's part of his skin, and the body markings are part of Kotal's skin, that's why not only the markings shine, but the paint does...

I wonder if Kotal's home is that jungle stage? It looks very tribal to me. Do you have a theory how Kotal's markings are able to shine through that paint?

I've asked Tyler Lansdown about it on Facebook. He just said: "You'll see". I'm not sure if that's a yes, it's paint, or no, it isn't paint...

One of my friends mentioned Kotal Kahn might paint himself as a form of a ranking style. In some ancient cultures, only the warriors were allowed to wear war paint. It very well could be that in Kotal's culture (when we don't how much Kotal will be based on the Aztecs) the more paint you wear...

I think it's obvious Raiden held back in that fight. That and John Vogel confirmed it on Facebook. However, I can't see someone bloodthirsty as Kintaro and Reptile being easy on Stryker.

That's what I'm saying. How could Stryker defeat not only Kintaro, but Reptile and Ermac. I mean, even after those fights, he didn't show any signs of being serious injured... It doesn't make sense to me.

I do believe Kotal is based on Huitzilopochtli as well, but it's hard to determine if that's Huitzilopochtli real skin or paint. Some internet sources lists it as being paint, others lists it as being his natural skin color.

True. But it's not just the color. It has cracks and holes in it at certain places, and other things similar. This is really going to bug me until they confirm, or not, if this is really Kotal's skin. I want to post a photo link, but isn't that against the terms of service? I can't post the...

My bad, Ledbetter. But I'm not saying the markings on his body aren't tattoos or scars. I actually believe that's what they are. I'm talking about the green coloration covering nearly his entire body. That there looks like it could be paint - perhaps war paint, or something along those lines.

His elbow is almost completely brown (in one of the photos). I wonder if when the body markings light up, the paint (if it's paint) covering them turn transparent? I would post links of some great, large HD shots to show people what I'm talking about, but I believe posting links are against the...

That's a bit different, though. Unlike Ogre, the green color on Kotal Kahn has some cracks and holes in it, which reveals a brown coloration beneath it. On his upper-left cheek, it appears to be actually peeling, allowing you to see even more of the brown coloration. I'm not saying it's paint...
