Is Netherrealm Studios ever going to get the online sorted out?

NetherRealm needs to spend less money funding tournaments and more money on things that are actually important, such as the appalling netcode.

No other fighting game does this tho, at least to my knowledge. That's why I say use GGPO.

This is one of the things I want the NRS team do for their next game. I've been harping about dedicated servers for the past few years.

Please everyone let's not kid ourselves, even with a green, three bar connection, there is at least half a second to a second lag which is unacceptable by today's standards.

I think NRS just doesn't have experienced enough programmers/coders to fix this.

i understand Taj where you are coming from but with the WB machine behind them and a MAJOR ONLINE ESL tourney campaign, you would hope that netcode would be priority number one after gameplay right?

Yeah I'm not disputing that, ultimately it comes down to WB hiring better staff or investing more money into this. It's borderline unacceptable.

NRS have the big WB name behind them, but it means nothing as the developers, artists, animators are very amateur and seem to only want to work in their tight little bubble of friends rather than hiring the best money can buy.

They could fix all these issues if they were hire better talent rather than only wanting to work among friends, the artists for example should of been fired long ago but they keep them in cause theyre friends
