Roster Speculation

Well Ed Boon is teasing Goro on Twitter. Could he be messing with us again or is it legit? I remember before Kano was shown off, he posted images of Commando on his Twitter. GameStop EXPO 2014 is soon and Ed Boon said that the next character to be shown off is a bad guy.
 
Although now that I think about it, Goro wouldn't be too farfetched.
He's proven to have a relevant story without Kahn via MK4-Deception. Next to Kahn, he's the biggest baddest dude in Outworld. With Motaro dead and Kintaro being of a lesser race, it would make sense for Goro to be one of the rulers during MKX's 25 year period.

People also forget that Goro is a prince. So he's already royalty. Being an emperor would come naturally to him.
 
I would like to see how they would handle Goro if they make him playable. I just hope he won't be another punching bag this time. I do remember he had a minor role in the MK4 story mode, maybe he will join the forces of light later on?
 
It's possible. Goro isn't the dumb monster that the story makes him out to be. He understands when peace is necessary


 
Goro is really high up on my wishlist.

Joining the forces of light fits him better then what was done to him in MK9.
But IMO, he makes a better bad guy. They just need to remind us why he's so feared.
 
I think Goro is more interesting as a good guy. He should only be evil when Kahn is around, like in the original timeline.
 
Fair enough.
To me, he just comes across as an evil dude.
But I guess that's what would make him such a badass good guy...

Doesn't matter to me what side he's on.
Just make him playable.

I agree. When you first look at Goro you automatically think Evil monster. But i think he could be a potentially be an ally to the Good Guys. kinda like, when u need me i will be there but i can't join you type relationship.

Goro as a playable character is cool. But for his story, he can be a push over
 
Just a completely random thought before i bed down. I have a feeling all reveal trailers will be for returning characters only. Which i think make perfect sense since it seems like everyone cares more for the returning characters then the new fighters. But remember its Next Gen, the next game will probably have more newer characters than MKX. with the exception of Scorpion & Sub Zero lol...of course
 
^A little bit ahead of ourselves, are we? MKX will have the most new characters since ever, it's been already confirmed. And why wouldn't there be reveals of new characters AFTER all the old ones have been revealed? Especially if they are descendants or are inspired by previous characters (Edenian etc)?

Actually, I'm way more excited about new characters.

I see new characters getting reveal trailers too, but I also see characters like Johnny, Sonya and Liu Kang being left for last, given all the MKX hype, rumors and speculation that surrounds those 3.

Ed mentioned that not everyone will have a trailer, but that most characters probably will. I think there'll be at least a few characters they'll try to keep secret and won't cover.
