Is MK X right after MK 9, or is it set in the future like 10 years form now ?

"Cassie Cage" daughter o Johhny cage and sonya blade is in this game. So I'm not exactly sure WTF is going on. MK9 made it seem that war was coming soon from the nether realm. Maybe Time travel is involved in this game.
 
Uhhh...you see, a Johnny/Sonya relationship has been brewing since the Malibu comics (circa 1994), was further hinted at in the 95 movie, and was even referenced to some degree in some of the games (such as the MK4 comic book that came with the PC version of the same game, and Cage's MKDA ending). Cassie Cage just proves that the relationship, along with the fact that they had sex, is fully canon.

MK X is right after MK9, and it spans (takes place) over 25 years.
Ed Boon said that it starts after MK9, then goes to year 5, year 10, year 15, year 20 and finally year 25, with the majority taking place in year 25.
This is the reason why Cassie is about 25 years old.

It's set 25 years into the future, but the story will have flash backs as far back as straight after MK9

That's how Boon has made it sound anyway

It seems like with so many noobs being added into this game that most of the living kombatants will be cameos. I think we are gonna get the original 7. I think liu kang will be added into the roster like cyber subzero was in mk9. They need to create the illusion that he will not be in the game. So I think we need to omit him from the list when thinking about returns from mk9. I hope these post mk3 characters return. Bo rai cho in hopes they rehash him make him funny but scratch the puking and farting. Li Mei her story of betrayal is great. Tanya because she had a decent role and her deceitful ways can add twist to the story. plus she's a bad . Havik I love this character, I want him in for no other reason than that lol. Reiko I want them to make him a bad ass, and not just someone jacking off to shao khan pics. Kai with a real capoeria style like eddy from tekken. He use fireballs tho I really wish they'd make some people not use fire we have so many that do. I just think of it as the base energy type of mk.
 
When I saw this, my very first reaction was:

1. Scorpion/Ermac/Reptile
2. Johnny/Sonya
3. Mileena/new character
4. Tanya
5. Nightwolf/Kai/Liu Kang
6. Fujin/Shinnok/Kenshi
 
I really can´t understand how everyone is saying the female one is Tanya.... I mean, edenians have human bodies.... and I don´t remember we have something like 2 toes....
Even though Sheeva won´t be in, she´s the only one who could have that foot. So, I´m guessing we will have another Shokan, a new female Shokan, and maybe she´s Sheeva´s daughter.... Now, start speculating about the father!!!!
 
You could be right, but to me I see a big toe with the rest of toes hidden beneath socks. But I also get why people think it looks like she has 2 toes.
 
3 is definitely a girl. If you look at that boot closely, it looks like a ballet boot. To me it looks too girly for a male foot. Could be Liu's/Kitana's/someone else's daughter. The reason I said Mileena was because she likes to dance and I can imagine her younger and goofy looking. If it's really a dude then 'wow' is all I can say.

4 I thought was Tanya mainly because of the pose. But if the fingers are the give away, well... we know it's not Sheeva... so... Baraka + Sheeva = foot number 4? Barshee... or is it Sheebar? :D
