far as charging these were all Pre-Order exclusives! U just can't give them for FREE! LOL!

I only needed 3 of them as i have 4 already! It will save me Big Big money to get them now as DLC instead from scalpers!

Well, $4.99 for 7 costumes, plus + 3 classic fatalities .... make the math : hum, $0,70 cents more or less per costume ? People are complaining for nothing, it's cheap for having the costumes avaliable anytime you want to use after paying for them and making the download ....

I'm sure a lot of people spend much more money daily eating hot-dogs + Coke or ordering something in Mc Donalds .....

I'm not gonna buy it, because I ALREADY OWN IT!!! It sitting right there on the frigging disc and I have to buy unlock codes to get access to data I allready paid for? **** it.

Sorry, but it's just another way to shake money out of my pocket and I'm not having it. Mainly because we had been lied to by Mr Boon himself.

I'm not saying it's expensive if it were actual DLC, but it isn't. It's just some code which changes a few zeros into ones. Nothing more and i'm not paying 5 bucks for a few K's on data.....

At least when you go to Mcdonalds you pay for something you'll get, not permission to eat something you already own.

Take a look at Criterion. We got tons of free downloads for Burnout Paradise, cars, bikes, an extra part to add to Paradise City etc.

Why not please the fans and give away these unlock codes and charge for something that is actually new, not locked?

well, Ed and NRS clearly lied about the classic costumes, they are in the disc, as disactivated DLC. This is a fact.

Anyway, what people gonna do ?

- Boycott the DLC ?
- To sue NRS and Ed Boon for lying about it ? LOL !
- Hack the files in disc and use the classics, anyway ?
- Send death threat letters to NRS and Ed, and making anti-MK 2011 propaganda around the Internet ?

I think people can decide whatever they want, but, right or wrong, the legal legitimate way to have these costumes now, is buying them as DLC package, so, I will give my money and support for this DLC, because I want NRS to continue and keep coming with more DLC content, what they only will do if this Klassic Pack, Skarlet and future Kenshi, just sell well and they feel that these DLCs worth to be done, cause fans are enjoying and giving positive feedback.

I'm not gonna do anything.

BUT! I will never pay for something which is part of the initial package. I don't mind paying for NEW content. But this isnt new content....

New characters etc, stages, whatever is fine with me and I will buy them to show me support, but paying for stuff I allready own...No, that will never happen. :) At least when it comes to games....

Call me stupid, shortsighted whatever, but I just dont feel comfortable paying for something twice.

I hope you lot will enjoy this "Downloadable Content", but I can do without.

Make no mistake, I still love NRS for bringing back MK and all the fun memories, but this just stinks imo.

Just because I understand their motivations, doesn't mean I have to approve of them.

The only thing I see as a positive in this situation is the big FU to scalpers who try to sell 1 costume for like 15 bucks. They are now left with useless vouchers. :D

i think 5$ is nothing compared to everything you get. think of it!
you get scorpion's classic skin, classic fatality, sub zero's classic skin, classic fatality, reptile's classic skin, classic fatality, ermac's classic skin, jade's classic skin, mileena's classic skin and kitana's classic skin! i think all these things totally worth the 5$ pay..

I want to get one too so that I can put the PSN card in my account, instead of my debit / credit card.
There's no way that I'm EVER doing that shit again.

I see DLC as a good thing.
NRS putting a small price on DLC will screw over the people that are trying to price gouge the content by selling it for too much on eBay, Amazon, or any other medium.
DLC will also help NRS get cash for the game, where they would not get it otherwise (eg. used games).

I also understand the principle as to why people wouldn't want to get the DLC, due to feeling betrayed.

This is the kinda post I can appreciate. Regardless of how you feel on the matter, you acknowledge that the other side of the fence has a legitimate claim. I see both sides of the debate as well and it's nice to notice someone else saying this isn't just a "you're wrong, I'm right" matter. Props.

You want someone to blame for the retro costume pack being for a fee? Blame everyone of those people who bought codes off of eBay for some ridiculous cost.

There's no way that WB didn't see that and come away thinking they couldn't make a buck from it. The code selling is inevitable, but the price at which people demanded and commanded from people who had a hard-on for the content made that decision easy for WB.

It's not because there is fatalities with the pack, it's not Ed Boon's fault or any other inane notion. It's because it'd be a stupid business practice not to get something in return for the pack when everyone's trying to gouge the prices on the second hand market.

It being $4.99 is good for me. I can understand it should be free, and it would be nice. But its ok with me how that is, and if it'll help out paying that much than yay.

Maybe b/c it was stated that they would not charge for on-disc content, dumbazs. I already have unused credit on Amazon and I'm still passing on this. DLC and CoD are some of the worst things to happen to the industry. Selling content that was already on the disc; selling stuff that used to be unlockable a couple generations ago......And CoD has dumbed down FPS and it seems everyone is copying them. American consumers are just....wow.

You have no idea how little control game developers have over the way it is marketed. WB has them by the balls because its bought them for a contract to make games.

And also, I don't think the female ninjas and Ermac are getting classic fatalities... are they?
