Kratos has his GOW arena where he fights Zeus that is his Arena but the Volcanic Arena where Subby and Scorp are fighting when the outsider shows up is not his but is not mentioned in the Data leak

Ok my Theory is this Volcanic Arena is above Hell (scorpions Lair).... since it would make more sense to have people falling down rather than uppercutting through a ceiling like in MK3, in MK9 you get to knock your opponent off down to hell as it were in order to get to the area with the gruesome stage fatality... also scorpion is the main character in the video

Wow! just putting the 2 images together for the first time I can actually really see the pillars sort of joining up now... I think I may have nailed it?

New Arena minus 1 lol The Volcanic Arena is a substitute for The Cave, and probably reversified instead of uppercutting up to the Cave from Hell you knock them down to hell for the big finnish stage fatality the whole arena will be named scorpions lair differing to the pit because the distance from the top to the bottom will not be like the pit... That is why it is not mentioned in the data-leak

More evidence in the victory pose for scorpion you can see the volcanic arena rather than scorpions lair in the background for those of you that have the demo please pay attention and you know I am right 0.42 in video below


It's also just dawned on me that why would'nt the Rooftop have a stage fatality? The Obvious one ahem.. cough sorry just clearing my throat... otherwise why would they have 3 versions of it?

I was going to enumerate my favorites from the revealed ones but then realized I absolutely LOVE pretty much all of them, the attention to detail is superb.

I can't believe the level of quality we're getting with this game folks. We might have some disagreements concerning the demo and exclusives but when you look at the finished product I cannot help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

All the levels look great and I can't wait to get my hands on the ton of content that will be available in the game :D Team MK FTW!

Maybe you should just edit your post, double posting is very much frowned upon. Also I do think the invasion rooftop will have a stage fatality....maybe feeding the dragon?

I get it I'm just looking out for you. Anyways I'm pretty sure there's going to be a LOT of stage fatalities.
 
Spotted this....may or may not confirm that you can knock your opponent off the top of the roof... There is no wall to close off the arena so far as I can see.....

If you cant just knock them off my guess is that it will use the same animation we have seen from the subway and throw them off as an input stage fatalty or perhaps both....

I agree 100% I think that we will be able to knock our opponent off and we will get the original Pit II view while they fall into the windshield of a passing Ice Cream truck or they will just splat on the concrete. either way I will be happy!!!

Wow. As much as I like SSF4, this puts that game to shame. While I have favourites all of them look great.

And what's what's this volcanic arena? Are you sure it isn't the same as Scorpion's Lair (Hell)? And what trailer is it in?

Scorpions lair + Volcanic arena (Cave Replacement?) = Scorpions lair thats why when he wins a match he cuts a hole in the ground and goes through it and you can see the volcanic arena over his right shoulder. Scorpions lair bit is underneath... Mabey they will re-imagine the Cave too

oops! just saw above are these ripped out the demo? If so looks like I am wrong unless it's the classic way so the only way to get the fatality on this stage is to play the whole match without uppercutting your opponent through the roof makes it a bit more special? just cause it aint in the demo don't mean it won't be in the game

Gonna have to wait and see..Or I am just plain wrong? can't figure why they would do the render if it were'nt going to be in at some point...

Ooohhh and theres that disection lab too... So that Lupinko dude does not have a nose like pinnochio after all

With that leaked pic showing all of the stages, I'd have to say that my favorites now are the Training Stage, The Courtyard (Both versions), Jade's Desert, Shang Tsung's Flesh Pits, Kahn's Colosseum, Shang Tsung's Throne Room, The Pit II (Especially the day version), The Pit II Bottom, Kratos' Arena, The Street, and Shang Tsung's Gardens. Still don't like the Living Forest though, those faces on the trees still look too goofy.
 
MK has always had a certain sense of goofiness, so it doesn't bother me.

It helps offset all the violence in the game if you can laugh a bit!

Yeah, but that's what friendship, babalities, the goofy stuff in the challenge tower, and Johnny Cage are for. Doesn't seem to me like they were trying to make anything in the stages look intentionally goofy...
 
I hope they make The Pit III as DLC. Kinda surprised that it's not in the final game though...
