Raidens Intro

When Raiden first appears in a match it would seem he shoots off a couple of energy balls (why?)... I personally don't like this intro and would rather he just teleport in and we just have elecricity running over his body and he gets into a ready stance.

There is no audio for him in the sound file character leak

Probably too late for changes as it has been officially released with this...

Do you like Raidens Intro? Would you prefer a simpler Intro?
 
It's not like Raiden at all to show off like that. I think he should just teleport in like you said and maybe hold his fist waist-high and have electricity flowing around it.

Yeah, Raiden is usually a pretty calm and collected person until you piss them off, then he kicks some ass haha. I don't see him teleporting into a realm just to shoot lightning everywhere and shoot birds out of the sky.
 
You guys have never seen Big Trouble Little China have you? Well his intro is in that movie. The guy that Raiden was based off of does the same exact pose in the movie.

Yeah I love his intro, I don't know why you guys say it's out of character. It's totally within his character, he is trying to be intimidating as he is the thunder god.
 
Raiden is my fav MK character ever but honestly I'm really disappointed with what they've done with him in this game, Obviously the cosmic snowballs are stupid, he should be shooting bolts of electricity and the sound effect they use for them is absolutely lame and sounds like a kids laser gun toy from 1985. Then that intro "Thunder take you" and he comes in shooting those weak ass looking balls in 2 different directions for no reason. He should just have the lightning strike with a loud thunder as he warps in then have him hold up both hands with tesla coils shooting wildly from both of them while you hear a loud electrical sound effect and he's not really saying much of anything or if he does make it something like "you brought this on yourself" or "earthrealm will never fall" or something along those lines more than "thunder take you" lol. Maybe have something specific to say to shang and shao kahn but something generic for the rest.

He's Raiden... he doesn't have to "try" to intimidate anybody. Imagine being confronted by a 7-foot freak who teleported in from a bolt of lightning directly in front of you, with electricity constantly running across his body, and then says something oddly threatening like "Thunder take you." Would you really need the extra display to be intimidated?

What nem00x said, plus I don't think he should shoot his loads off everywhere, just the martial arts stuff is fine.

I have seen that movie so many times and apart from it being similar to the dude in this movie the fundamental difference is that Raiden has balls... I mean lightning balls and not electricity

Yeap, and thunder bolts are way better than electric balls. Check the video below, in my opinion that's how Raiden's entrance should have been:

 
Its Raiden, the God of THUNDER! He can enter anyway he wants. Why dont u tell a god u dont like his entrance n see wat happens lol!

What about at 0.52 in the Video.... where he shows off his cutlery skills...he must be able to chow down on some serious noodles this dude don't use chopsticks he does things different...

Back on topic^^^ Agreed...would have been more correct they have all the animations pretty much there just give us the lightning and back to it's roots for sure

I think he does need to act intimidating as we see he does kick the bucket at the end of Armageddon, so Raiden needs to become tougher this time around. And you need to remember he's not fighting normal people in the tournament he's fighting people who are just as strong as he is.

i disagree, raiden is more powerful than any mk fighter, he is just as strong as Shao Khan and Shinnok and they are power houses, raiden doesnt need to look intimidating, the man just came out of the sky on a lighting bolt, but i do not like what they have done with him, lighting "balls"? O.o they should have made them bolts and when he teleports or something there should be a thunder sound
