character specific fatalities

Would it be completely ridiculous to include fatalities that are specific to the victim? For example, Kung Lao having his own hat used to dispose of him or scorpion being choked and stabbed by his own spear? Just a thought. I'm interested in what everyone has to say.

For example, Reptile would use Kitana's fans on her as a fatality...fatalities that any character can perform that are specific to the victim.
 
That's actually a really good idea! Maybe that should be the next evolution to fatalities

But you'd have problems with some characters w/o weapons though.

What would they do to Johnny Cage for example?

I think a lot of characters it would work and there would be easy to conceive ones, but you'd have some trouble with Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, and other characters with no tangible weapon to take advantage of.

This idea is great, but i think that the only ones that can perform these character specific fatalities are the rivals of said characters.
Like Mileena can do a specific fatality on Kitana and vise versa

It doesn't need to revolve around weapons- perhaps sub-zero throws an ice ball but the start of his character specific fatality the winner redirects his arms to his face and he freezes his own head...followed by an inevitable shattering.

Thank you for helping me understand what the thread is.

I think it should be a 2nd fatailty in the next gen. of MKs so we kan have one where they do it with there own powers instead of the other people's stuff.

Ok, but Johnny Cage hitting himself in the face with his force ball would be

it opens up alot of new options for character fatalities so i agree with it but i would like it done so the person peforming the fatality can choose if they do their own specific fatality or the fatality specific to the character they are about to kill
 
Ive thought about this idea. What if your character punches Reptile in the gut, causing his mouth to open in pain, then your character reaches in Reptiles mouth and grabs his tongue with one hand, and uppercuts him in the jaw with the other hand. Cutting off Reptiles tongue and making him bleed to death.
