Will there be a commercial for Mortal Kombat 2011 aired on TV? I think it would help get alot more sales if old school fans have given up on MK, but now see it is back to the roots, they will try it out again. Thoughts?
 
That would be badass for them to have a Superbowl ad. Seeing MK and the Steelers win all in one sitting will prove to be extremely satisfying.

Ehhh almost, replace Steelers with Jets. Then it will be extremely satisfying!

But who is still in to go to the super bowl?

And yes that would be a badass idea espically around the super bowl.
 
No one ever said it had to be during the Super Bowl :P while that would be amazing and get like a zillion views, it is super expensive. Just put it on some normal TV shows and stuff, it's better than nothing, and would be something new to watch.
 
Anyone who is an MK fan already knows it is coming out so the need for a commercial is kinda useless....in fact, anyone who is a gamer will know this game is coming out. A commercial MIGHT re-spark the interest of people who used to play the old school MK games but, chances are, if they have no idea this game is even coming out, they aren't gamers anymore.

Thats more like it! I would like to see the Jets and Packers make it in, I personally think that a Bears and Steelers SB would be dull. On topic I hope WB has some marketing plans hidden up its sleeves including TV ad's.
 
If some people are on the edge of buying it, something like a good commercial could turn the tide in our favor :D Plus, if they include some new gameplay footage or a new character then that would be even better
 
They will do a commercial probably, i remember here in canada there were MK vs. DC commercials all over the place. Unless midway was doing that in order to save themselves.
 
As a commercial, it would be a good way to get more interest.
Although a Super Bowl commercial would be better due to more viewers, the price for a 30 second spot it just asinine.
 
i just don't know...i'm all against all those commercials...it is never good for any video game...i'm afraid it could turn into another overhyped product similar to what happened to Mass Effect 2...like mod here said if someone really wants to know there's internet and there's google he or she will find out about MK 2011 in no time...hyping up games almost always ends up game being overrated or simply not worth your money...

Hey, I was going to post the same: it would be uber cool to see some epic commercial like the one they did for the home versions of MK1.
It would be another reminder to the glory days of MK, and I'll be in tears if it shows suddenly on the TV screen, it would excite me to the max!
