Many have wanted to see more of the Mortal Kombat (2011) Kollector's Edition bookends. The pictures we originally received were missing half of the statue and really misleading. That ends today, thanks to Rigo Cortes over at NetherRealm Studios. We are treated to see the rest of this great edition that will go great on many fans' bookcases in late April.

Is that concept art for Motaro in the pages of the art booklet!?!? Definitely some sort of non-human entity. P.S. Those bookends look fantastic! So glad I'm getting the Kollector's Edition from Amazon!

It definitely does look like Motaro's legs in the video... Maybe its a statue? Who knows, but if all three sub bosses are back, then HOLY SHIT we are in for a bumpy ride :D!!!

It most certainly could be a statue, I'm definitely not ruling that out however one detail that may give people hope that it is not a statue is the fact the statues of Motaro in MK 3 were gold and most statues (if they are truly meant to be statues) in concept art are gray in color. That concept art clearly is colored as if it is the real Motaro concept art, not a statue concept. Like I said, I'm not saying one way or the other but both are definitely a possibility!! Although honestly why have statues of Motaro/centaurs if one isn't featured within the game am I right??

Holy crap this looks awesome. Now I REALLY hope the AU gets the bookends. Look's way better than the supposed fire-edition. I may suspect that sub-bosses change as you choose characters from the corresponding games (If of course Kintaro is real, and this image of Motaro is proof of him existing in the game). Upon further investigation, "Motaro"* is no longer a centaur. *If that is him of course.

This has gotten me so ridiculously excited!!!!!!!!!! However, after taking a good look at the picture that just may be motaro, it looks like he may only have four appendages and he's standing on his hind legs, more like a minotaur...then again, its hard to see the front of the render so I can't assume he will have only 2 legs like a minotaur, even less that it is in fact motaro in the render itself. Still, this has given some more hope that he will make it!!!!!!

Yeah my main issue with the image is that there doesn't really look like there is enough room for his torso to stick up off of the body. It might not be a centaur after all but here's hoping Motaro is in the game anyway!!!

Zoom in. I can count 5 if not all 6 limbs. It photo just fades out but there are more than 4.

Those are quite beautiful. Suddenly the whole "drunken Scorpion" thing makes sense. He's not just spearing a wall... He's spearing THROUGH the wall. Ahhhhh. The other statue thing is cooler. But this is nice. Where the **** am I gonna put it, though?
