Yeah. Here you MIGHT pay only $500/mo (nothing included) if you're in rent-controlled or subsidized (HUD/Section 8) housing. A measly 1 bed, 1 bath apartment in a neighborhood where you won't be beaten up and then shot for your running shoes will run you $800 at the least.
