Any suggestions on how to improve the internet connection real quick?

Does it matter where the PS3 is in location to the modem or router or whatever? Should I shut off everyones wireless device in the general area?

If you ask me, the best way to get full connection speed and stability is to use a wired one.

But I you rather use wireless:

Yes, the weaker the signal is, the less stable your connection is gona be, and you'll be more likely to disconnect. Keep the PS3 as close as you can from your router. If other people/devices are connected to your wireless network, your speed will come down. Disconnect them if you can.

Wired connection is the way to go. For whatever reason when my ps3 was wireless it had awful download speeds whereas none of the 3 computers in the house had a problem. I went the wired route and haven't looked back.
