Probably there's not many besides Bayonetta and Lady Death that would drawn in a big auddience. Buffy is own by 20th Century Studios/Disney and Joss Whedon is under hot water right now. There's also Rayne, but her series is pretty niche though.

Not typically a fan of guns in MK but Classic Lara Croft would be pretty Sick
also Aphrodite IX has a great design,
maybe Tank Girl could be like a cheeky female Johnny Cage.
Harley Quin would be an obvious choice too.

Malenia the Severed from Elden Ring is always a choice for a female guest. Elden Ring is one of the biggest games of this decade so far and would fit well into MK.

Lollipop Chainsaw, Bloodrayne, Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, Cammy, Mai Shiranui, Catwoman, Buffy, Xena, and Christie (Dead or Alive) are some of the best choices.

A first time for everything, c'mon guys think outside the box. Consider at least 1

You can do a duo fighting character like you did in MK 10 with Ferra/Tora
but put Lady Melisandre/Stannis Baratheon from Game of Thrones
Stannis will do most of the fighting while Melisandre will do the special attacks.

"Fury" from "DarkSiders 3"
Leeloo & Korban Dallas Duo
Tiffany from Bride of chucky. her move set can use glass bottles/knifes/ burning with cigarettes/ mirrors/ sweetish meat balls lol etc.

You will never a Marvel character in MK ever. Someone like X23 will never happen.
