What is the Embargo?

What is the embargo and why is it ending today? i'm really unclear, after someone answers you can close. This "Embargo Ends Tomorrow" Jumble was created yesterday, so what happens today?
 
It just means those who seen the trailer and know info can talk about it after the embargo ends. Which it should be past it by now. Before the embargo is lifted, they were supposed to not unveil any details or show anything about the game.
