The game session has desynchronized - online play

I get about 80% of my online matches disrupted (and ended) by this pop up message. It makes it practically impossible to complete an online game. While I was having some problems with my router earlier, I have given up on it all together and plugged my ps3 right into my cablemodem, giving me a Nat 1 connection, yet I still get this "the game session has desynchronized" almost every time.

Anyone else having this problem?
 
Is nobody else having this problem? I have a good internet connection and have never had any problems with sf4 or other games. This basically makes online play impossible.
