Survival mode and 90% complete MKSM

OK check this crap out. I went to midways site in search for an answer why I am always stuck out the loading screen after I beat level 3 in Survival mode and this is what they are saying -

What is Survival Mode?

The content, being called “Survival Mode” by some gamers, was removed from the final version of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Gamers who access this content are using codes or devices to alter the game software. The resulting crashes or corrupted save files are at the risk of the gamer. Using devices or codes to alter game play voids Midway’s warranty detailed here: http://www.fuzeqna.com/midway/consumer/kbdetail.asp?kbid=38

Midway does not support or provide help altering the game play software in this fashion.

I do not own nor use any mods, gamesharks, whatever on my XBOX at all and I am able to access this mode fine. I tried another copy and get the same results, no matter who I fight with. Midway does need to be held accountable due to selling off an incomplete game that still has bugs in it. I know the PS2 version works fine for the most part as well with no modding or cheats, whatever. This same issue mirrors what occured with Rockstar and their poor idea of leaving code in just to meet some rushed deadline and then blame it on people who mod, hack, etc than taking it upon themselves for poor poor programming. If you dont know what I am talking about, google up on the hidden game in GTA SA.
Bottom Line is it sucks to buy 50 dollars for a game and it's not 100% complete. That and blaming on something else as well instead of taking the blame so please voice your thoughts to Midway because this doesn't really influence me to buy into the next line of MK games if this keeps up.

Your comments: "Gamers who access this content are using codes or devices to alter the game software." What is the need for this lieing? I have a PS2 and I don't believe it's even possible to hack. There is no way that it was removed as hundreds of people have already accessed it on both x-box and ps2. Is this some way to get out of fixing the VERY frequent crashing? The problem is very serius for x-box where 2/3 of 'survival mode' can not even be accessed. I'm ashamed in this company which I used to have respect for in the good ol' days..

The PS2 does occasionaly crash but it's not as bad as what I'm hearing about the x-box. This really should be adressed PROPERLY! Too bad it's been more htan ninety days for most of this.. It's win-win for the bastards at midway.
 
In all seriousness, how can you expect to have support for a mod/feature that the company admits wasn't finished and was essentially removed from the finished game?
 
Yeah if this piece of work was truely not finished and had been removed, then it would of been removed period. Not left in there and can be simply be accessed by just destroying some barrels here and there. This mode is still in there and they claim that modders are altering the software to get to it. That is bogus.
 
Plus in the interviews one of the guys made a comment on survival mode after the game was released at fight night I believe.
 
I own an Xbox and I just did the survival mode and on the loading screen to the fourth level, the game froze. Any ps2 users who have been able to beat the entire survival mode, please tell me how many leavels there are and what creatures are in them.

NO, don't be lazy, it was brought up all over the place. Look for it yourself, why it's probably even posted in this thread. Were not going to be your servents.
 
Wow dude if you looked at the main page, you can see all your answers come before you. I have also posted answers to those questions on other MKSM forums. Just use the search function and rent a ps2 version because the XBOX version is jacked up for survival mode
 
One of the questions for E3 should be regarding this topic. I see it as a big issue for about half of the people for this game.
 
Mine doesn't freeze on that mode funny enough-note: I have both versions. I don't use code devices or mods on this game either...


The only time it froze was before fighting Kintaro once... But that's all maybe you need to clean your disk with Game Doctor?-Tis what I did and it never freezes now :?
 
My disc has no marks on it at and isn't dirty. My copy was one from the very first batch that came out. Dont know if that has anything to do with it. The game has a good bit of bugs in it anyway
