Sub-Zero is very sluggish/slow has this been addressed?

Hey guys I have been using Sub-Zero repeatedly through the demo and I noticed his basic moves are extremely slow and have a longer then normal recovery time. For instance he has the slowest uppercut and foot sweep, the other characters can recover much faster then Sub. He just feels super slow compared to Scorpion. Has this issue been address to NRS in the past? Has this been fixed?

I was disliking SubZero at first, because I did not know how to play with him, but, after some days playing only with him, he is a combo machine, ultra defensive when necessary and very good character ..... maybe it's possible he could be a bit slower, but, he is far from being defenseless, and he is good, his multiple combos are very easy to use and to keep pressure against other oponent.

I know hes supposed to be defensive but he his really slow like if i get stuck in a corner its extremely hard to get out do to his slow crouchig jabs and kicks. I love sub but i just wish his recovery time from his basic moves was a little faster.

Remember wen NRS sed every body will play different from others? well he's suppose to be slower, prob wen the game comes out we'll start noticing different speeds and who knows? maybe some one slower. Tht wut u want to hear? makes sence to me

I just thought he was a bit to slow, it seems that sub zero can get beasted easily by someone who plays like a pitbull. If he goes againt a fast player who constantly puts the pressure on him he doesnt have enough recovery time to counter attack

I'm happy with how Sub-Zero plays now, it's going to stop him from being the noob spammer character he's always been. Although sadly Scoprion seems to have taken that position now.

The thing is Sub-Zero is what would be known as a tank. You have to pressure others so as to not get cornered. If you get caught, that's your own personal problem. Sub-Zero has quite a few tools to make use of to keep from getting pinned. I just don't think most people are use to standard fighters in how they play. Give it some time and I'm sure you'll learn how to use Sub effectively.

I consider myself above average player, i was a B player with akuma in SSF4, when i was playing my friend whenever I was scorpion amd he was sub i destroyed him like nothing but when he chose scorpion and i was sub he destroyed me like nothing

I think NRS team balance the game where with GOOD timing you can survive a fast player, and I hope im right about tht plus to what Tio sed remember tht he has the ability to freeze people! So if he was fast and spamm you with ice balls or wutever it would make the game very unbalnced

Edit: Im talking about blocking and counters in first sentence BTW

It doesn't matter what you consider yourself. This game isn't Street Fighter, your skill in this game is irrelevant to Street Fighter, same as MvC3, and same as GG/BB, and more.

I know plenty of players who can handle Scorpion using the demo using Sub-Zero and they are far from king players, and I know some decent players who lose quite a bit to Sub-Zero. As the metagame expands people will learn strategies to counter everything or deal with a certain character. Yes, he may be at a disadvantage, but it is far from a broken advantage where you instantly lose to said type of character, if it is. You need to improve your game. That's just how fighters work.

As others have said, he's more of a defensive character.

To answer your question better though, this is (by now) a 3 month old demo.
The NRS community manager said that lots of tweaks have been done to the game, after that 2 month old game build.

The only move that I found to be ineffective was his ground freeze, because it's SUPER slooooooow.
I hope that they sped it up a little bit though.

He is not slow/sluggish. It's his play style... He plays as a defensive zoner. many videos show how he has hard to approach with his ice cloan + ground freeze. he's a great character if u know how to play him

I have barely used anyone else but Sub. Once you get his combo's going he is unstoppable. I think he is the worst character to get cornered by because of the timing on his combo's.

Sub is already considered by many to be the best chatacter in the demo. He doesn't need speed or he'd be way too good.

i thought sub was too slow to be used in the game at first too, but that was only because i was trying to play him as a fast fighter. he is a combo heavy defensive beast when u learn to use him, iv went through the ladder without being touched alot since i learned his play style, it boils down to this if your not doing well with someone, switch because your play style doesnt match the guy you picked. keep trying tho bro you will get it sooner or later. practice makes perfect

If you think Sub is too slow your simply just not using him right. Sorry but the truth hurts. I though he was crappy at 1st too but learned quickly how to master him. Mileena is the weakest in the demo hands down. I can hit 10+ combos and still only be in the 20 to 30%. Sub-Zero only needs to freeze you once and I'll take half your life if you don't combo break.
Scorpion is a machine. A real easy char to use and no matter who uses him he keeps you guessing *teleport? yes? no?*
Johnny is just plain fun but has no "Free hit" move which is good or he'd be hell on wheels
