Start menu question

When im in the "Press start" menu (in PS3) and i press start the dragon logo appears at the bottom right corner of the screen and loads for like 10 seconds and then Scorpions punches Sub-Zero.
Is this normal? it does it always, but in the demo it didnt do that, scorpion's punch was instantly (I know there is more data now but still seems weird to me)

Honestly im pretty sure its normal LoL. And yes u are correct about the more data thing. No worrys man totally normal. =D

Yeah its normal I think its got something to do with game updates cuase I swear it didn't do that before I got the day one update

Yeah happens to me as well, found it strange in the full version that this happened.

It does that everytime you boot up the game to check your save data and for any new DLC that's coming soon.

it's NR new on the fly patching system. this is why when people load up the game and see characters have been buffed or nerfed in damage they have no idea why it has happened since they wern't notified about a patch when they inserted the game. NR can pretty much update anything and people won't know about it, although they are saying they will tell everyone exactly what they are patching on themortalkombat.com
