Something I've noticed about the in-game models.

To my eye, it looks like the body models from Injustice are being re-used for MKX.

Don't believe me? Look at Hawkgirl in Injustice then look at Cassie, they're clearly the same 3d model but with changes made to the head. This is good, it means the characters won't look like they all have the exact same body like in MK9, the females at least, Injustice was more diverse with it's models.

Not really seeing much similarities but maybe that's just me.. do you have any more examples?
This is the first MK game where it looks like NRS are really trying to have more diversity among the characters.
I don't see how this would be a problem.

I agree about Cassie, she really does look weird and i hope that they will fix her. But thats not really "good" to me, i can't call it good because all MK9 and most of the Injustice females were... not good enough.
D'Vorah on the other hand not being 100% human looks better than half if not all MK9/Injustice characters imo.

Once the series turned to 3D graphics, most (if not all) characters were built from the same base models. As a result the characters had the same height and build according to their genders. Injustice had a little more variety for the men. I didn't notice much of a difference with the women though; female character designs tend to be stuck with an idealized body type, especially in super hero comics and video games.

It's called saving time (and in some cases also being lazy). Ctrl+c/Ctrl+v, then updating it. Easier than to model everything from scratch - except maybe the heads, which are the most unique part.
