Shujinko for MK 10

Trilogy

OR MAYBE MORE FITTINGLY, MK11

I know its way too early to be focusing on the next game, or really the next next game, but i can't help it.

I'd like to know if you'd like to have Shujinko in the next or next-next game since his story overlaps the entire timeline and what his story and inclusion should entail

Aspects I'd like them to include:

- mid twenties to middle aged self
- Raiden is his enemy and attempts to stop him
- His fighting/moves include the aid of "Damashi"
- thats all i can think of for some reason

I'm so tired of defending this guy.

I debunk all of the nay-sayers' theories but more and more appear.

I don't care anymore, they say ignorance is bliss, well I'm just going to let them bask in it.

Maybe if the character is revamped. He seemed like a character you would make in KAK [aka he has damn near everybody's special moves] plus I don't think too many people liked him being the Mary Sue of MKD.

Me= taking your place as avid Shujinko defender

All nay-sayers, please give me a good reason why you don't like Shujinko (and don't say he has no original moves).

Because he's old and brittle lol jk but I did much perfer his middle aged outfit in MK:D (the one with the armor)

i don't even like shujinko, and yes one of the BIG reasons is because he has everyone elses special moves
however, i think that in this new MK universe, where everything is being redone, everyone should come back, most of them in a different way

Not everyone if i ever see Hsu Hao, Kobra, Drahmin, Taven, or Daegon in another MK I might puke

Shujinko's borrowing of special moves is critical to his story.

As I have said dozens of times, he is a chosen warrior sent on a quest where he encounters many allies/foes that he trains with.
He adopts their techniques and this is fitting for him.

If you can't accept that, you are simple, that is all their is to it.
You can't wrap your feeble mind around his story, and so you are angry.

BUT, I have made a movelist for him that does not use other fighter's styles:

His attacks should be heavily influenced by Shaolin styles.

Give him the Mantis stance.

He should have his Deception alternate costume with loose sleeves.

For special moves, I was thinking no projectiles.

He should have evading moves with varying distances and directions.

Give him a projectile reflection move with a generous window of reflection time.

A "teleportation" move where he does a high butterfly kick very very quickly over the opponent.
When he lands he gets in a low Mantis stance.
This a command stance. Press up to get out of it, front punch for a pop-up, back punch for a knockback, front kick for a sweep, back kick to slide backwards.

Shujinko would be really cool, IMO, if he was like a straight-up martial arts character. We haven't really seen that in MK. Liu Kang has the power of fire to complement his martial arts and Kung Lao uses his hat more prominently in kombat. We need a character with an outright to pummel those with their magical footwork and whatnot. If they were going to give him his own special moves, his natural fighting ability should be used very prominently, and it would be the only other way that I would like Shujinko.

i think that people understand his story.... they just DON'T LIKE IT or don't like that he got ALMOST EVERYONES BEST SPECIAL MOVE
i like the story, understand it, but dislike Shujinko because of it
he has a bunch of moves from other characters... great to play with ALL THROUGHOUT a story mode (you get a feel for different moves), but not a really likeable versus fighter
i think that this time around he should have a limited number of moves and shouldn't get alot of them, especially if Raiden doesn't allow him to complete his quest (he really shouldn't get moves like Sub-Zero's freeze because he is not a cryomancer!!)

We don't know Shujinko's background.

There was probably a reason Onaga chose him.

We might have the ability to copy fighter's styles, without taking their souls.

Yea a good way to introduce Shujinko into MK10 could be Onaga heard Kahn was killed and came to reclaimed his throne in outworld

FORGET SHUJINKO IN MK10!
let's have him in MK9. He look's pretty badass like they just ripped him off of an old Kung Fu movie, MK needs more of that old "Enter the Dragon" feel that MK1 had

Your enthusiasm is well appreciated, but Shujinko is a lesser-loved character.

Therefor it is best to re-introduce him with a great story mode to back him up.

I don't think story has anything to do with it. I think if he plays well he will aquire a large fan base. Besides some of the more popular characters have a terrible story (like Rain, Tanya, and Frost: their story sucks yet people still want them in game)
