Question about story mode.

Sorry if something similar has been posted before but i couldn't find anything. So I'm wondering about the story mode in this game. Will it be like Armageddon where you take a nameless character and meet actual characters as the story progresses or do you pick one of the characters and do the story. What is the story mode going to be like? I don't want any details of the actual story just explain what character you play as and how it affects the story. (if it does at all)

Think MK vs. DCU. Play a couple of fights as Johnny Cage, then progress to Sonya, then to Scorpion, and so on and so forth until you finally face Shao Kahn in a battle of EPIC PROPORTIONS! Thank you, have a nice day.
