Nightwolf training???

I have a question about the training with Nightwolf.

I read in a post that you can train with Nigthwolf on Earthrealm

but when I did earthrealm at the start of the game I only train with Bo Rai Cho and Sub-Zero after that I was up to the Netherrealm and Asrah was the next to give a training.

The first time I did saw Nightwolf was in the Netherrealm with the bear totem quest and the fight for his alternate costum

Did I miss something here

Or the mission that the guide said "after training with Nightwolf" are for when you comme back to earthrealm the second time you do Konquest

Hope someone know what I'm talking about 'cause I kind of lost on the Nightwolf thing

It'll be quite some time after you first start the game that you get to train with Nightwolf. I want to say it's after you get past Outworld and Orderrealm, but I'm not sure. I do know, however, that it's when Damashi tells you that you get the chance to enter the Mortal Kombat Tournament. I think you'll be in your ponytail, sleeveless t-shirt form by then. After training with Nightwolf, you change into the older version of Shujinko. I'd say go to gamefaqs.com for a better answer, though.
 
After your initial trip to Orderrealm you are sent back to Earthrealm. This is the key point to get the White Lotus headband.

Back in Earthrealm you learn of the Mortal Kombat tournament, track down Shang Tsung and Kenshi, and also train with Nightwolf to purify your soul. It is a critical mission in the quest, so you can't not do it.

Nightwolf also appears in the Netherrealm 2x. First is your first trip there, he asks you to find a Zombie (or something) and retrieve his totem. The other time you encounter him is a typical fight-the-character with a certain stipulation.
