I really have to give it to Ed Boon and Wb. This is the BEST MK iteration in a long time. I personally loved MK Deception and didn't see the big deal with going 3D. Soul Cal did it perfectly. The game has SO much kontent, especially the PS3 version. Even some awesome trailers I have never seen. The fighters are really fleshed out and everyone feels different. No more palette swaps. I have noticed that many reviews are comparing it to Street Fighter and that is not a fair comparison. SF is a more simple cartoony game that hasn't evolved in years, where as MK is more adult and allows you to create your own combos and changes every time a new game comes out. That really is amazing. Reminiscent of MK2. SF is a totally different game. I personally don't like SF but im not going to bash it. It's just not for me. What I think MK9 needed was a counter move like MK Armageddon. Makes you think twice about spamming. I prefer a more hardcore game like SC4, Virtua Fighter and DOA4. But MK is a more commercial game so that hardcore depth will never exist. The fatalities are back thank god, and it has returned to form. Sf tekken and other fighters have never offered as much kontent as MK does. While i respect all games and taste, there's no denying MK is a full fledged game. The fighters have immense personality, charm and I love the story because there is consequences. Your fighter will die. It's more adult and thats why i love it. Now for the negative...yes im not biased lol. The online is atrocious. It needs some serious patches. Some fighters are just unbalanced like Noob and players turtle like no tomorrow. Or they walk away to the end of the screen like a wuss to give them the upper hand. I know this will be fixed in time. The graphics are hit and miss. Wish the fighters were larger and the lack of stage fatalities hurts. I thought there would be much more stage fatalities than only 7. Armageddon had tons more. But all in all, the game is amazing and FUN. Theres bios, krypt, etc. what fighter do you know that offers the content that Mk always does. Im very happy with my game and look forward to Lady in red and future DLC. No more 10 hit dial a combo like tekken(blegh) the combos are left to your imagination and creating some of your own is truly rewarding. It's genius. Reviewers don't seem to get it. That's why i wrote this. I hope this helps and remember, Mk is a force to be reckoned with. It's getting perfect scores and some are bad like 6 out of ten. That is blatant fanboyism because all the bad reviews refer to street fighter and tekken. If you want to get critical, compare it to Virtua fighter. That game is a True fighter. I highly recommend it and you will be busy for months. We got a reboot with our favorite fighters and it's like learning a new game all over again. Sure it could be deeper, but Mk is all about blood, gore and craziness. It's a guilty pleasure. Happy gaming and I'll see you online

The yelling and screaming agony was a real treat. Most fighters fatalities have no yelling or screaming like deception did. bummer.
