I liked JKOOL's resin Kintaro model so much, I decided to make one too out of a Palidades Goro figure.
He look better in person. The camera flash makes his colors look alot shinier than they really are.

Well, like I said, I'm very impressed. God only knows I don't have the patience to paint something like that.

And, since I'm curious about the shoulder armor, did you make that? :)

Yeah. I cut pieces from a propel bottle and used nails for the spikes. Then I painted them with steel colored paint. The kneepads are also cut from a propel bottle. I bought a piece of fake leather from a craft store and cut it into strips. The emblem on his chest is a button I painted and I printed an MK logo real small and glued it to the button.

Haha, that's pretty creative.

I love it. :)

Thanks. I also have a Zombie Liu Kang figure I'm working on, too. Now that Kintaro is pretty much done, I'll start finishing him up. I'll post pics when he's done.

Well, I remember seeing someone do that before...I can't remember who it was, though.

Was it you?

i always admired people with the patients to make their own crafts like that. i made something like it once (my evil gi joes) and posted the pics somewhere in this forum. but they are by no means as time consuming as your kintaro. bravo.

Thanks all. And yeah, it was probably me. I posted a pic a few months ago. All I have left to do is finish painting his pants.

My advice; Sell them on Ebay, you'll make a good amount of money by selling them as custom figures or something.

What type of paint did you use?
Water based acryllic. The type you would find in a hobby store.

That Kintaro figure looks very good but I'm wondering, why the hell do you have Power Rangers Dino Thunder for PS2?
I have a 5yo son.

Hehehe, I was wondering the same thing!

But as for the figure...wow...
Its amazing. The details are so immaculate. Extremely good job!
