^-^' Abstract is not my thing.

I'm a uni art student and I would suggest trying colour. Thn maybe they'd get noticed more. :?

Uhm, I used black pen because it made it look more.. "darker".. in my perspective. I'm not going to draw darkish abstract art with a yellow gel pen.
 
i used to draw stuff like this a few years back when i listened to metal. itd be cooler to use a pencil, and as you scan them in, try inverting the colours if you want a darker look and feel to it. and try not to be so defensive, angel was offering constructive criticism :wink:
 
I'm used to giving oput constructive crit, thers no way you can give an opinion at art uni without being able to hand it to people. And they hand t back. You get so used to doing it, sometimes people don't udnerstand it. So I'm not bothered and you didn't have to say sorry. :)

I know you did these in pencil, but maybe you should use a darker pen? The ink isn't very bold. Also when you scan the page, put another sheet or two of paper behind the picture. Sometimes you get a better picture. I can't be bothered to explain why but sometimes it makes the picture appear less pale.
 
That happens because the scan doesn't see through the first sheet, or when it does, it just sees white instead of opaque.

I'm on Angel's side as far as abstract art goes, I just don't get into it. So I have no opinion to give on the stuff. Most of your other stuff rocks though, Prophet.

So whos are you saying you can't get into? Mine or hers?
 
Yours, I haven't seen anything she has done that I'm aware of, but if it's abstract, I'm most likely going to just stare and scratch my head in wonderment...

Not dissin' it, I just don't get abstract :?
 
must have been about 7 years ago now when i did stuff like this. i remember doin one where there was this huge hand holding the earth and another hand pulling the pin out of it like a grenade, and something pseudo religious written on it like 'can we really trust him?' or something like that (not that im religious at all). i still stick with using negative colour effects on the picture, that way it looks more like you scratched it into a blackboard than drew it on paper, giving it a darker look. i just did it here to demonstrate (dont worry, im not plagiarising, just trying to help)
