If Shang Tsung does come back from the dead, then I hope that Ermac's MKX ending is the way that it happens.
Shang Tsung being his own boss and not being anyone else's puppet -for once- would be nice to see.
Side note:
By the way, even though (IMO) the none of the ladder endings are really canon until the next game comes out and the canon endings make it to the next game, I DO find it QUITE interesting that NRS would put it in Ermac's ending "....the sorcerer Shang Tsung. Returned from death."
I remember others debating me on whether Shang Tsung truly is dead after MK9, and it's possible that this ending may prove to be canon for (or semi-canon) for MK11.
