Liu Kang VS Goro - Story Mode

Hey, does anyone else find this round difficult? I found quanchi/scorpion quite hard but Goro seems near impossible to beat. Any tips? Help?

Btw, am I nearing the end of the story mode? I hope not ...
 
Never Attack Goro or Kintaro head on Try and jump over them. If your just now fighting Goro, your still in the MK1 phase of the story mode. I dont think your even half way through it yet lol. Its been like 2 months since I've played through so I could be mistaken.
 
Thanks Shang 'T' Sung ... hmm. but he keeps attacking with no opportunity for me to attack.. blocking is rubbish too. I will try what you said though.
 
Btw, I just started playing like a week ago, since I bought the xbox 360 just for the new MK games :D so didnt get a chance to play up till now
 
you can railroad Goro pretty hard using Liu Kang's 2, 1, 3 combo, you can do it over and over to chain up to like 13 hits or something.

it would be triangle, square, X on PS3 or Y, X, A on Xbox.

^^This started with overheads jump punch attacks will own Goro, Kintaro and Shao Kahn just make sure they are cross-overs and preferably jumping over one of their attacks. Just learn a decent combo with em in practice if you're having trouble. If your not that patient (like I was with the end boss fight) you just use overhead punch --> uppercut over and over
 
Thanks for your help guys! I managed to defeat goro using the jump over method. So jump over and surprise him with a attack like uppercut or a mixed combo. :)
This info will be useful for future boss fights, thanks! :)
