Apperance:In arabic, the name Leila means " Dark Haired beuty" and she lives up to her name since she bares a strong resemblance to her mother, princess kitana, she has flowing black hair running to below her shoulder blades, light brown eyes and has a shapely figure. she wears mostly casual clothes during her youth in NYC. during her a stay with master rai cho, she was oredered to dress as one of her students, her uniform was to stay clean at all times and her hair was to remain kept in a bun or ponytail at all times. after her encounter with Sindel she began to take up her mother's mantle. she wears a blue leotard with the edenian seal emblazoned on it's stomach, forearm length fingerless gloves, a sash for a belt, and knee length boots with metal 6 inch heels.

Bio:Born to Liu Kang and Princess Kitana at the Wu Shi Academy, her mother passed away shortly after giving birth and soon her father left the shaolin to raise her whilist starting his own martial arts academy in New York City.
Much to Liu Kang's dismay, during her early teens she became enamoured with martial arts film legend Bruce Lee (Way of the Dragon is her favorite movie) and began taking classes at her father's academy, there she learned the japanese Shotokan variation of Karate and quickly climbed the ranks just like her father in his youth, Liu was impressed but his students started to cry "favoritism" so he asked her to cease attending academy, upset she ran away from home and found refuge with a clique of street kids who pressured her into shoplifting, she was caught, arrested, and sent back to her father. upset, Liu kang sent her away to stay with Bo Rai Cho to learn self-discipline and the way of the spritual warrior. she also learned Hangul (pressure point) techniques and began to incorporate them into her already formidable Shotokan skills.
As she came of age her father, Kung Lao, Nightwolf and a man calling himself Raiden came to visit Leila, that night they sat around a campfire, Leila sat and listened as the men talked about their glory days and about the fabled Mortal Kombat tournaments.
In her mind, Leila began to question their sanity and excused herself from the meeting, as she got up to walk away the campfire grew bigger and a female apparition stepped forth from the fire and stood before Leila and Liu, she claimed to be Kitana-Leila's mother, Liu kang's long lost love, one of earth's greatest defenders, and the former princess of Edenia.
She informed her daughter of her true purpose, a prophecy must be fulfilled.
