Is MK9 going to have opening cinematics?

I've played MK:DA, MK:D, MK:SM, and MK:A. Those opening cinematics were packed with action and they were very memorable for me. Hopefully MK9 will have an exciting opening cinematic.
 
I heard someone said no theres not gonna be one mostly because of story or something like that. I think theres a thread about this already that explains this. But if there is one i hope its awesome but i don't know how they can top MK armageddon's intro that one was badass.
 
I think there's going to be one in this new game. Ever since MK2, it's always started with an intro explaining the events that led up to what's happening in the current game. Though story mode might make the intro video a bit unneeded.

also i really think that with technology these days, the MK9 intro cinematic will be spectacular!!! Sub Zero's spine rip fatality from MK:SM was fcking awesome!!!
 
NO. There HAS to be one, its my favorite part of the game lmao, Ill sit there and watch them over and over again, every other game had a story mode and still had an opening sequence...so why shouldnt this game out of all of them? Even mk vs dc got one and that game was garbage.
 
If MK9 has one then that'd b fcking sick. I mean the kratos cinematic reveal for MK9 was already awesome. I think the cinematic is going to have that shaolin monks feel since its mk1-3.
 
I would hope this MK has a cinematic openning. It would be an epic one and i would think/hope it would TOP MKDA, MKD,MKSM & MKA all together.

My lil idea for this intro would be specificly for tue story mode. Once u press the story mode selection, it opens up with a huge area of remaining fighters tryin to get to the top of the pyramid. After a brief viewing of kombatants fighting n dying, its left with Raiden n Shao Kahn in a brutal epic battle. Shao Kahn gets the upperhand n as soon as he is about to strike the final blow, Raiden sends his message...causing the screen to zoom out into a worm hole like state n then it flashes to an earlier Raiden who is baffled from what he just witnessed.
So Mortal Kombat begins again...

What do ya think?!

Love it. And Kano looks sick in MK9. Why does Kano look like Joker in your sig?

That was from Kano's the MKvsDC ending(go read it, dont want to spoil it for u lol). And to be more specific he looks like the Joker that Jack Nickleson played in the Batman movie lol!
 
I would be suprised if they didnt have one! I really liked MKSM the best and Armageddon was very cool too, well they all have been pretty cool!
 
I don't think there's gonna be an intro because of the 2.5 hours cut-sequences in story mode. They will show an intro when you play the story mode, I think ...
