Im making an effect for a picture with a tutorial and it says "set blending to screen" WHAT?!?!?!?!? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?!?!? ive been sitting here for 15 minutes trying to fiqure out how to do it, and i came up with nothing someone, please help me!

ps. im using adobe photo shop

it's kinda hard to figure out what a blend mode is until you finally know, there's an option in the layers menue that's next to opacity,it should say normal.that's your blend mode.there's a setting called screen in there.I hope you understand...but like I said, stick to the basics man.you might be diving in too far right now.there's tutorials out there that explain this better than I ever could.

Oh never mind i got it, i was right in front of my face! i feel dumb, sorry.

but all i need to know know is how to frame, can someone help?

this is a bit advanced dude,it's not too advanced but I certainly would not start with animation just yet if I were you, you'll find that you have to get to the basics sooner or later,I tried getting to advanced stuff too early once and my work looked pretty mediocere.once I learned alot more of the basics my work began to look a hell of alot better.

now,in order to finish what you started you have to save that and open it in image ready to animate,a frame is basically just a frame of animation, each frame something in the picture changes pretty much and it should be saved as .gif

sorry,if you don't understand but that's what you get for not learning the basics first.you should be able to get the basics down in a week or so.if not a week at least a month, you can't just rush yourself otherwise you'll never make anything worth looking at.

Nah i understand perfectly, check out my jpeg image somewhere in this forum.
no you didn't,it's just a still picture and the tutorial was on an animation effect.you need to do three different rain effect pictures then use each one for a different frame off the animation over your picture.

it just being a jpeg version and having no animation looks pretty crappy.
