Favorite MK era

Out of the eras of Mortal Kombat that the series had. Which was your favorite? For example;

Klassic Arcade Era (1992-1997)
3D Era (2002-2008)
2010s NRS Era (2011-2020)
MK12 will probably start a new era

I hate to be bias, but the klassic era holds the most to my heart with me being a kid during that era. I would pick the 2010s NRS era as my second favorite because it help make MK popular again. MK during the 2000s felt like a joke to most people who felt like the series was trying too hard to stay relevant. The gameplay and some of the new characters didn't work for me. I loved MKD and MKA when they came out, but found myself not liking them when revisitng.

3D era along with Shaolin Monks thrown in. That's when I started getting into MK other than the movies and playing some of the original era when I was young.
NRS era started strong with mk9 which I thought was best thing to happen to the franchise and stumbled a bit with mkx but was still fun to play. Mk11 completely ruined it for me though everything about it was just bad and felt like they hated the old fans.

3D era no doubt, they were so innovative and so ahead of they're time. Look what they did back then now most fighting games are gonna incorporate, the open world in the games now. I told people MK should've branched out made an open world, rpg or spin off, MK universive and lore is big enough to do it. I miss the desgins, the dark gothic tone, I miss the music, I miss seeing the order realm and chaos realms. The games nowadays just dont capture the esence the games once had, they're are too stiff and bland. They're trying too hard to make the games sci-fi and realistic which is dumb.
