Create-a-Fighter Question...

Can you only make two Fighters? If you look at the new and improved Selection Screen, you can see that there are only two spaces for a created fighter. (The guys with Jigsaw-ish faces.)

None of this has been confirmed, so no one knows. My guess is that the red KAF is for Player 1's profile and the blue KAF is for Player 2's profile. I think they might bring up a list of all your KAF's on your profile.

Not only that but remember we couldn't copy game data from MKDA, dude? How retarded was that I ask you? Like wake up Boony.

Then you're missing out bigtime, buddy. Arguably the best in the series and ironically it's the only one in the entire series that I really suck at. It's light years ahead of MKDA and MKD combined. Even Tekken 5 is better than MKD. And I'm nowhere as much a Tekken fan as I am an MK fan.

Yes, Tekken 2 is slow, but everything after that wasn't :p As far as pure speed goes, DOA is the fastest, followed by Tekken then VF (overall, although VF4's speed with some aspects was higher than either Tekken or DOA).

Speed in general depends on the characters, and one's grasp of the game. You're not going to see a fast Ganryu VS Jack fighter, but have Eddie and Hwoarang, and you got yourself poetry in motion.

Btw, Tekken never had a create a fighter mode, just SCIII. PSM created Rayden among other game characters using it (and Rayden there looked better than the MK's)

in Tekken 5 there is a semi create a character feature that lets you buy add-ons for the fighters already in the game, and you can change the color of the items too. Which is pretty cool. Thing i dont like is you have to buy everything, and it seems like everything is high priced, well unless you play that game a ton!

It's a mere character customization that was introduced in VF4, then it proved very popular in Japan so the Tekken team followed suit.

SCIII's on the other hand is full fleged.

in relation to speed and this is only slightly off topic the early street fighter and mk games were super fast compared to the new ones. but, it also made them harder for anyone to play. anyone can pick up most 3D fighters and adjust fairly quick yet you try and get someone to play SF Alpha 3 or UMK3 they'll be lost. its all timing. u cant button mash which means they have to work out strategy. thats whats missing is strategy. and idiot can hit a few buttons to win.

Not really. Even the most accessible 3D fighters can't be won by simply mashing buttons. It works on a beginner's level, but even an intermediate wouldn't fall for a newbie's button mashing tactics. Even the infamous 10 dialers in Tekken; they're useless, and can be parried and are punishable easily.

That's always been the downside of 3D fighters in general, particularly Namco's. They give noobs the illusion that they're masters by mashing buttons and finishing the CPU route, and they don't realize that there is much more to the games than meets the eye. SF's last games (SFIII in particular) were somewhat similar; few basic movies, but the parry system wasn't noob-friendly.

If I did make replicas of this thread, it was by accident, sorry. I also like Immortal Reaver's theory of a list of all of your KAKs when you select the jigsaw-headed guy. Does anyone know how many characters you can create?

There is no confirmation on what you ask, dude. Read below. Particularly the RED section, dude

Armageddon's character creation system is truly top notch and impressive. When you're going down the list to preview the different items and how they look on your character, each change loads fast, making the process enjoyable, not frustrating. Everything you can possibly think of is customizable, top to bottom. And it's all very easy to navigate through and do what exactly you're trying to do without any confusion whatsoever.

You can create male and female characters from a handful of body sizes, and modify everything from their face, cheeks, eyes, hair, and hair color. From there, you can put seemingly unlimited numbers of accessories on the upper and lower body, ranging from hats, bras, gloves, pants, belts, boots. To top it off, everything that you equip your character with has an endless number of color combinations to choose from. The palette of colors is very remarkable. You name it and the chances are you can do it.

But it doesn't stop there. Once you're happy with the appearance of your fighter, you can move on to customize everything from fighting style, weapons, and moves. Each character in the game has a fighting style; whether it may be karate, eagle claw, kuatan, tiger fist, and so on and so forth. There are dozens to choose from and you can pick whatever style you feel like. You can also select the weapon you want your character to have. In the Xbox version, pressing the left trigger switches back and forth between your fighting style and your weapon style combat. There are two categories to choose from: axes and swords, and there are three of each to pick and choose from of each. Swords include the autumn dao, kriss, and ninja sword. The axe-type weapons are the axe, cleaver, and war hammer. When you choose your weapon, you can also choose how you want to hold it.

The final stage for creating your very own character is to modify the moves list. Everything from basic moves, taunts, and special moves can be assigned to the buttons of your choice, allowing you to assign moves to whatever buttons that feel most comfortable. Additionally, you can create a biography for your player, including giving him/her a name, an origin, and biography. For what purpose does this serve you might wonder? Those who have Xbox Live will be able to take their created character to the online arena, biography and all.

There is no word on how many characters you can create and use, and when asked if this was the final build for "kreation", our company rep was too uncertain to give us a straight yes or no answer.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

No probs, dude.

Just to add to that. If I had my way I would make it so that almost endless amounts characters can be saved.

Same. I remember creating like 9 characters when I first got a WWF game.
