Photoshop 7. It just takes patience and a little time to play around with different color combs to get a good product.

Yes, please do that, but only if you have the spare time? I am always reading up on Tuts [lots of them] but I find it difficult to make really good stuff. I have all the required software, just very limited knowledge. I have made a few weird cut n paste fakes and some animated gifs. But that's about all really.
