A decade after 9/11/01

Obligatory story: 8th grade, going to school, heard it on the bus's radio, got into class saw it on the TV. Last I knew they were still up. Got home, found out they fell.

Obligatory pseudo-rant: Me being in 8th grade, I wasn't that big into politics, so this didn't have a huge effect on me. Yes, it was horrible that someone would do this to us, I sure everything we did was justified at the time. But as time progressed, I've started to phase it out and just move on, something everyone should do. It isn't wise to dwell on the past, only to look forward to the future. I'm still not a big political guy, but I just want for one day all these bills that limit our civil liberties to just stop and return America to what it was once known for: the place were everyone can go and live however they want to live. Sadly, that day will never come.

I know its a tragedy but I dont care that much since im far from US.

I think one of the reasons is so important for you its because it was the first time you were the victims and not the ones shooting. I think it affected US people's pride in some way.

I was a freshmen in high school. I was sick and my grandma woke me up with, "We're being attacked!!" I was thinking what the hell you talking about old lady. Walk to the living room and they were talking about a plane hitting one of the towers. I got to see the second one hit and all the breaking news that day.

I also remember my grandma trying to call one of them news stations because one of the said it was worse the worst attack in an American state or soil or something like that, and granny was going to call and tell them it was not true and pearl harbor was worse. The news station wasn't wrong with what they were trying to say, Hawaii wasn't a state yet.
