Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks at GameStop Today?

It appears that you may be able to get your hands on <a href="/games/mksm">Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks</a> (<strong>Xbox</strong>, <strong>PS2</strong>) before this weekend after all. We have received word that those who have pre-ordered <b>Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks</b> at <a href="http://www.gamestop.com">GameStop</a> received an automated phone message yesterday saying the game would be available for pickup after <b>12 noon</b> on <b>Friday</b>. Also, a quick check of <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=210729">GameStop's product page</a> shows that <b>Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks</b> is shipping within <b>24 hours</b>.

Before you try to pick up a copy (pre-order probably not necessary), make sure that you call your local store ahead of time. Also, please leave a comment to this story with your results. We will be updating this story with more details later in the day.

UPDATE #2: Several <b>GameStop</b> and <b>EB Games</b> stores show that the game is "active" in their computer; therefore, they have been given the green light to sell as it has been "streeted". Now the real question is whether the stores actually received their shipment of the games. Make sure you call your local stores as some we have contacted say that they're expecting shipments tomorrow, and some are expecting them today.

Well in order to test this out, I just pre-ordered it off their site and added overnight shipping to it. I will let you know what happens. Plus I will give the store a call to and see what the deal is. Man if this is true, then it will be nice to get a head start on it. Otherwise, 4 more days to go then.

I called Gamestop this morning and he said to definantly check back after noon because the SKU is already active in their system.

I tried to call EBGames, but they aren't open yet. I looked online and they now have it as 9/16/2005 also.

I hope that EBGames has it today also, because I already preordered from there. But if they don't have it and Gamestop does.. heheh, guess where I'm buying it.

UPDATE!!!! I called the EBGames here and he said they would get it tomorrow. They just received word today about it shipping out.

Yeah that is the same with my EBgames so I am driving a half hour to get to Gamestop to get a copy cause they have a crazy amount!
