fighting game terminology

is there a post anywhere that explains them for the people who havent been using internet for fighting games until just recently?

failing that. what does hit confirmable mean? ive been trying the past week to find out and i have so far been unable, google thwarts me again. some of the terms can be puzzled out, but i cant figure out what this one means.

Hit confirm means you can wait to visually see if your normal attack hits before chaining a special move to gaurentee it hits. This is more prelevant in capcom fighters, but some attacks and specials can be hit confirmed in MK, but it's not the norm.
