I pre-ordered this game guide, but am looking for a novel, comic, etc. that people accept as the most true to the story. I have one by Jeff Rovin from the mid 90's, and was hoping to find something else floating around out there. Any recommendations is appreciated!

I got the novel by Jeff Rovin from the mid 90's. I'm wanting more, and can't wait for the hardcover game guide that will include all the kharacter's stories and what-not. What's the best source for background info and entertainment? Is it the komics or what? I haven't been able to find much on...
