Reptile and Khameleon are both Saurians. It could happen. Kai would be ideal to succeed Kang as well. I'm just saying, as cliche as you guys are saying it is, that Ed Boon and Co have said there will be MORE descendants coming.

New characters could also be descendants, or relatives of older ones: Ie: A new tarkatan, Kitana and Liu Kang's child, Reptile's Offspring, A new White Lotus Hero, etc...So, yeah, I believe they can figure it out.

Both the Polygon interview and another gaming site interview ( I forgot which one) stated the game shipping with about the same as MK 2011, so I'd say around 30 is a safe bet with an exclusive.

I'm saying anyone HUMAN (from earth realm), probably won't be as present on the roster, but maybe in the story mode as a cameo. That being said, I do think Cage and Kano make a return.

It will never happen.

In that blurry little picture, he doesn't look as big as KK. It's the smoke trail that kind of deceives that. I'd stay on the safe side and say it's basically a no-name or unfinished new character.

There were also those voice clip leaks that came with the demo.
