The larger points of the lore are addressed (scorp and sub's feud for example) but the smaller, more personal stuff is left to the comics.

Monster Shinnok is probably the final boss Look to the left. When I was snapping that image, it looked like Raiden was stepping into the corrupted Jinsei chamber and Shinnok was reverting back to normal.

Anyone else thinking the mobile game isn't going to drop until after the game releases? It wouldn't make sense for the faction stuff to be available to us early and the disk asking us what faction we want to join when we first start it.

From the description of it, it seems like it's going to mainly be focused on Kung Jin and his origins. And then showing him working with Cassie, Takeda, Kenshi, and possibly Johnny Cage to rescue D'vorah from that one off Ron Tan Cho crimeboss guy.

Because the gameplay gods demand it lol Or if we want to reach for some in universe reason, he WAS in fact responsible for a lot of deaths. Not sure if that really would count tho.
