The description for chapter 11 says that Raiden eventually snaps out of it and both him and Scorp go to the Netherrealm to find Takeda ('s soul?) This might actually be why they search for Sub Zero, to get him to Cyber-ize Takeda's body Since it's effed up.

She could also very well be an unplayable npc fight. I know it would piss a lot of people off, but NRS might be going this route for characters they want to give a sendoff for and/or give closure about without throwing them all in the roster. MAYBE. Again this is just speculation.

Problem is, nobody has MKX Sub's LEGIT textures yet. I honestly wouldn't put it past NRS to give her an outfit like that. From a lore perspective it could be that Frost is once again Sub's best pupil, but since I have my suspicions about this being Bi Han and not Kuai, he's probably a lot more...

Model rips actually. If it's fake, then they probably ripped a female model from Injustice and modded the CRAP out of it.

I think it's real. The entire model looks INCREDIBLY NRS-made and the background looks legit, NRS doesn't put as much detail into further-distanced background pieces as foreground ones.
