That's what I thought to until seeing Shang's ending, that would make an interesting story line if they follow that one. As for the other "dead" characters... leave em dead and bring in some new non-ninja's or lesser seen characters from the other realms.

Re: how can you beat the last match in story mode radien vs shao khan? What worked for me was first starting with a teleport and upper-cut. Take about 2 steps towards Shao Kahn and teleport again, typically he goes for a special/projectile and by teleporting right away you are behind him...

This strategy worked for me tonight, walk towards him and teleport for an uppercut and repeat. It basically keeps him the same area of the level and if he gets some damange on ya it is easy to restart the pattern. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_Cx7urAaeQ
