Re: MK2 Klassics for Kitana and Jade Confirmed.

they really should have never had mk3 female costumes in the first place and only had mk2 costumes instead

I bought the Klassic Skins pack, and I'm loving this! MK2 females should have been the pre-orders to begin with, seeing as they were the originals.
Personally, I agree. They should have had the MK2 costumes at first and then they should have got their MK3 costumes as DLC.

I fully agree with you on this, the bun was also my main reason for disliking this costume.

They should have already had them. now we have 2 characters with too many costumes now. 4 costumes while most characters only have 2 is dumb on NRS' fault.
In the long run every fighter will have their classic costumes. Making 5 costumes per character. Characters which haven't got as that many classical costumes will probably get a second new alternate costume, except Mileena. She will only get her MK2 costume and that was it, due to the fact that she already has a third alternate.

...but whatever, I love the mk2 female costumes, I just wish they had never had the ugly mk3 ones in the game
Although I share the same love for the MK2 kunoichis like you, I have to disagree with you about this matter. Even if the UMK3 costumes are somehow weird, they are still classical costumes used in the era of Mortal Kombat 1 - 3 and therefore just by existing earned their right to be in this game as every other classical costume from Mortal Kombat 1 - 3 as well. Because this game is the Renaissance and rejuvenation of Mortal Kombat 1-3. Well I have to admit, that Quan Chi and Kenshi are exceptions though, because they haven't been present in MK 1-3, therefore they are the only ones, which can and will get MKDA, MKD and MKA classic costumes.
Moreover in comparison to the UMK3 variant the remade MK9 variant looks more detailed and can be get used to, of course this is just my humble opinion.

I said it would be MK2 Kitana and Jade they are in the demo leaks files. Now im gonna go ahead and say the next pack will be MK2 Mileena and Skarlet.
Although I think that we will get the MK2 Mileena and even a Skarlet (MK2, MK3) costume I don't think that NRS will release them with the next character. For Skarlett's classic costumes (yes she deserves them IMHO!!) we will have to wait at least three months and they will be released in a non-free costume pack. My thoughts are rather that, NRS will release two UMK3 male ninja costumes alongside the ??? character, just to open new ways of releasing palette swaps in compatibility packs with future DLC characters.

Except, unless you pre-ordered from Toys-R-Us at the very last minute (when Kitana was announced) and have a PS3 and bought the Blu-rays (the only way to get Jade in the US), the MK3 klassics are NOT free. The compatibility packs are for those who don't buy the DLC character, and in all likelihood, those same people didn't buy the Klassic Skins Pack. So these are the first FREE retros for them, just as Cyrax/Sektor and Noob/Smoke were free.
Nothing more to add

I fully agree with you!

It seems to be a minority opinion, but I fully agree. The MK2 female outfits are vastly superior to the MK3 ones in virtually every possible way. Hair not being up, no stupid lacing up the front, and they actually cover up (I thought that was a complaint lots of people had: every female's outfit is too revealing?)!
I've got the same feeling, you do about the female outfits. Some revealing outfits are OK but not all. Long live costumes with more coverage!!! (MK1 Sonya Blade for example and of course MK2 kunoichi costumes)

There will most likely be more DLC characters, so they'll need compatibility packs that will require free outfits too. So it's not like the remaining MK2 outfits and MK3 ones will never happen.
...
Wait for Klassic Skins Pack #2. All those would require more work than just a simple palette swap, so the likelihood of them ever being released for free is slim-to-none at best. The chances of them being paid DLC though are huge! Although I really want MK1 Kano!!!
Yes I agree with. I will go even a step further and say that nearly everyone will get their classic costumes in the long run. Because classics are a sales argument and also some classics are just simplified versions of MK9 costumes. In addition for all of you who are going to cry for NEW NEW and NEW costumes. Even if NRS are concentrating on classics at the moment. New costumes will come, because after the fourth classic pack no classics are left and I'll say it again: NRS said that they wanted to support this game for a long time. A long doesn't mean three months it means until the release of the next game, which won't be next year but in the Year 2013 or even 2014.
As for the lovely compatibility packs: It's a great thought and I see this in the same way as you do.
They will be at least two seasons of DLC characters meaning eight compatibility packs. The following classic ninja and kunoichi skins are to come:
MK1: Smoke, Noob
MK2: Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena
MK3: Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Smoke, Noob, Cyber-Sub-Zero and Unmasked Sub-Zero
Making 15 Skins => 8 compatibility packs => 2 Seasons of DLC
I even think that, Rain and Skarlet will getting classic costumes but not on compatibility packs but in a separate DLC.
Besides, everyone is somehow forgetting one thing. NRS wants to redeem itself for charging on disc DLC and I think it's a great attitude to do so. They did this charging in order to satisfy their pre-order customers and the non-pre-order customer. Nevertheless the last ones were slightly unhappy about the charging and therefore they are getting now free classic skins as a redemption gift.

My guess, MK2 Mileena and MK3 CSZ. Those are the stragglers of the sets already released (two of three cyborgs and two of three females). The remaining MK2 males and MK3 males will likely be future DLC character compatibility pack releases.
Yes this two costumes will definitely come but in my humble opinion NRS will be releasing UMK3 ninja costumes just to show the people, that even this classic costume will come (they will be the last ones though because every one besides Kenshi and Quan-Chi won't probably get any MKDA, MKD and MKA costume)
