I would have voted Reptile if he still actually looked like a ninja....so I voted for Rain.
 
Ermac all the f*cking way.
I always found Psychic powers to be amazing, and his enigmatic nature kinda helps.

And on top of that, he's always one of the most useful characters in every game he was present, making him a great force to be feared.
 
Haha, all the love for Smoke on this forum isn't translating well into that poll.

Ermac was a close second, but Sub-Zero is always first for me.
 
Why would anyone? We don't know what Smoke will look like.

I'm picking Reptile (shocker) since his human alt is in the game.
 
Doing the "Original" Sub Zero's Spine Rip is what got me hooked onto Mortal Kombat, to begin with.

...dunno...cause its like people don't know what Noob looks like in MK 2011, but there're still votes...

I think it’s interesting how there are some MK fans who think the series is over-populated by male ninjas, but IMO the bottom line is – ninjas are fuc|<ing BADASS! What other fighting game gives you a host of morally questionable masked mercenaries to fight it out with? DOA has 2 and they’re both good guys, Tekken has Yoshimitsu but he’s more of a samurai-like character and Raven is... um, never mind. ^_^

And as for peoples’ opinions that these characters are all just lazy clones. Well maybe they used to be in appearance, but those days are over, and now they’ve all got back-stories that differentiate them enough from each other IMO. I picked Noob Saibot because I love the idea that he has been corrupted by the darkness of the netherealm. Liked his moves in UMK3/Trilogy but his 3D incarnations have sucked ass. Really hoping NRS have adapted him well for the upcoming game and hopefully he’ll face off against Scorpion at some point. That’d make for an epic showdown.

...now there's pretty valid point there...i mean on Noob Saibot's case of dark corruption, especially knowing fact that younger brother seeks revenge upon those, who's responsible for killing older one...

Agreed 2D Noob Saibot was the BEST.
I can't wait to see his MK 9 incarnation. :-)
 
I voted for Smoke because he's my favorite character, but I don't think Smoke or Noob should be on the poll since we haven't seen how they are going to look, and knowing MK, they could easily ruin Smoke. As for Rain, we already saw him in the background even if we aren't sure whether or not he'll be on the main roster.
 
Ermac hell ya althought all the ninjas are the best characters in the game, at least that's my opinion =T
