MKX Video Analyzing/Speculating

Question? How many of you are going to cry if it is Kuai Liang?

You should all know I hope it is. Because personally if it's not then Noob is ruined as a character for me.

Also they shouldn't even bring back Kuai if that's the case because everybody hates Cyber Sub-Zero.

I still hate the soulnado theory because it is such a crap story. Anybody and everybody should throw themselves into the soulnado because The elder gods may just choose to make you their champion.

Personally hoping Havik yanked Noob out of the soulnado to try and overthrow Shinnok in the netherrealm. Noob is an awesome character, but if he's not Bi-Han then he's not. He's just reptile, baraka, Sheeva territory lackey then.

At this point, I don't give a shit if it's Bi-Han or Kuai.
Human Sub-Zero is back, and that's ALL that matters.
I just threw my Soulnado theory out there, but if it's Kuai and he gets thrown into Quan Chi's Inner Sanctum, I'm fine with that too.
All that really matters is that (hopefully) Sub-Zero with tits (Frost) isn't replacing him.
She can be in MK X too, but she's no damn SZ replacement.

To be fair, early versions of Sub-Zero's bio showed that it was indeed Bi-Han intended to be the Sub-Zero of MK9.
No it didn't. TheMortalKombat.com had a headline which read Sub-Zero resurrected.

The bio said Sub-Zero is back with secrets from the dead blah, blah, blah. I remember that. Everyone said oh my god Bi-Han is back as Sub-Zero, but NRS did that as a throw back to MK2 when everyone thought Bi-Han had come back from the dead. He never did though because when everyone reached Sub-Zero's ending in MK2 they realized it was a different Sub-Zero completely. It was Kuai Liang

Bi-Han was never THE main Sub-Zero in Mk9. It was always Kuai, but people took that Bio waaay too literally instead of reading between the lines. Sub-Zero had never came back from the dead, but his brother made everyone think that he had.

Basically, they jumped to conclusions. Just like is already happening now. I swear though NRS could have Kuai Liang beat all of the elemental gods with his pinky and he would still be inferior to some of you. It's absolutely ridiculous to me. Can they do anything to prove Kuai Liang IS Sub-Zero? I really don't think they can. He's been Sub-Zero for 8 games now. I think he could be the main Sub-Zero for twenty games though and people would still say Bi-Han is coming back.

Do you people really think the turds at NRS bother to keep such a consistency in their storyline that enables you to make deductions like you are intending to? SMH

Fair enough, but the headline did say that it was Bi-Han resurrected as Noob. Which is what threw people off. Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Kuai fan just like you, but it would be nice if Bi-Han made a full appearance as Sub-Zero in another iteration of the game.

Also, if they wanted to trick us, why would they change the headline like they did, around the same time when Sub-Zero's story trailer came out?

We see them run towards each other straight after the words 'FIGHT' so do you think The RUN Button is in this game??

i sure hope so

Unless you can post me evidence saying he was turned back from.being Noob then I don't believe it. People were just assuming that. The bio didn't even mention Noob because I remember thinking the whole time that the bio was so vague how could anyone tell one way or the other? However, I always assumed they were trying to throw us off with the whole resurrected thing.

When the trailer dropped it revealed that Bi-Han was burned to ashes and pretty much revealed that Kuai Liang was Sub-Zero at that point. So there was no more need in the vage bio they gave us.

NRS knew the story at 2010 E3 because Boon already knew he was turning Kuai cyber. I think it's reasonable to believe they knew Kuai Liang was always going to be Sub-Zero in MK9.

If Tobias hadn't gone AWOL, the MK9 retcons would've never happened.

The same thing was in the MK9 trailer when Raiden faces Shao Kahn, so I'd say no.

ahh yes i remember. but still this new trailer video seems to be serving as more of a glimpse into gameplay with it being just one drawn out fight. so its still a possibility that the run is in i think

anyone else notice at 1:20 after scorpion kicks subz to the ground he jumps up and does a double spear and he then used the tree branch as leverage to get a unique throw move. so it kinda looks like after you knock an opponent down with a certain move you can use the environment to get the next hit?

i know injustice did similar things but this seems to be more thought out and creative

very interesting

I think everyone is over-analyzing this announcement trailer. The only thing this trailer confirms :

-Scorpion and Sub Zero as returning characters. Which Sub Zero? We wont know until they tell us.
-Scorpion and Sub Zero have new looks.
-X Ray attacks are in.
-Weapons will be used to some degree.

Everything else could very well be fancy flashy filler to make things more cinematic.

It's fun to speculate, but some people go a little crazy lol

At the end of Cyrax's MK Gold ending, they turn him back into a human. The same thing could have easily happened to Cyber Sub Zero

Cyrax actually ended up being a human/cyber hybrid. I mean, he was flesh and blood again, but he still had machinery on him.

Am I the only one that noticed how "different" Sub-Zero's eyes are? In MK9, his eyes were normal, like a human. His eyes remind me of how they were in MKDA-MKA when he accepted to be Grand Master and got the medallion. Kuan Liang is dead and died as Cyber Sub-Zero. The only conclusion is this is Bi Han. Lets be realistic here. The Elder Gods can be douche bags by not restoring the souls Quan Chi took during Shao Kahn's invasion. The Elder Gods must of bought back Bi Han and enhanced his powers as if he had has the medallion. Going by Jorge's theory, his soul was separated when he was thrown in the soulnado. Thus Noob and Saibot becoming two separate beings(Which Ed Boon has confirmed that Noob and Saibot are different characters). It could be possible that the Elder Gods sent Bi Han to finishing his wrong doing in Mortal Kombat: Sub-Zero Mythology. Bi Han already has and has had beef with Shinnok and Quan Chi. So it's a strong possibility that this is Bi Han.

Weapons seem to be a thing again, at least ones stuck in the environment anyway. Notice Subby picking up the kori blade out of the ground.

Sub-Zero uses his Kori Blade in his combos in MK9

EDIT:

Future reference, I made this thread so we could speculate on other videos that will be release. Never too early for anything.

Bi-Han had his chance to atone for his wrongdoing while he was alive. He refused. He is damned as an evil Wraith for eternity.

Sub-Zero is a registered trademark of Kuai Liang.

I really hope environment interactions aren't in MKX. I want it to stay in Injustice.
