Last year's Injustice: Gods Among Us comic was DC Comics' "number one best-selling digital first series" so it's not surprising that the series gets to continues the story with "Year Two" this month. The first year of comics covered stories five years before the events of the game, so I imagine this year will continue working forward in time towards the game's events.

The writer of the first series, Tom Taylor returns for the second year but there is a new artist on board as Bruno Redondo replaces Jheremy Raapack, but Jheremy does do the cover for at least the first issue.

Digital chapters are already available for $0.99 each on Comixology, Apple's iBooks and Amazon Kindle Store. But starting today you can get the print issue #1, which combines the first three chapters, at your local comic and book stores for $3.99. You can get a preview of the first issue on DCComics.com as well.

There is something new available this year as well, there is now what is being called the "DC2 version" which is a new motion comics format by MadeFire. It's a very cool reading experience for comics, I recommend you all check it out if you like your comics digital. You can find the iOS app on the iOS AppStore. Tomorrow at Galloping Ghost Arcade (GGA) in the Chicago suburb of Brookfield, IL there will a fun filled day for Mortal Kombat fans. As usual there will be Mortal Kombat Tournaments but there will also be some Mortal Kombat Celebrity guests.

Throughout the day six of the original actors from the first three Mortal Kombat games will be making an appearance. The actors appearing are Carlos Pesina (Raiden and current Animation Art Lead at NetherRealm Studios), his brother Daniel Pesina (Johnny Cage & MK1-2 Ninjas), John Parrish (Jax), Tony Marquez (Kung Lao), Phillip Ahn M.D. (Shang Tsung in MK2) and Richard Divizio (Kano, Quan Chi, Kabal and Baraka). They will be signing autographs and posing for photos. So be sure to bring your MK collectibles and cameras, there are typically headshots available as well for autographs!

The game tournaments will be held for the original trilogy of Mortal Kombat 1, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate MK3 along with 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot in GGA's custom cabinets. The tournaments will be in a double elimination format and best 2 out of 3, so everyone has a fair chance of winning. There will also be prizes for each of the tournament winners.

The event starts at 1pm Central Time and runs all night. For more details on how to attend the event, be sure to check out the Facebook Event Invite for instructions and further details. Also be sure to like the Galloping Ghost Arcade Facebook Page.

But there is also good news for those who are not in Chicago. The event will be streamed on GGA's Twitch Channel. They said not only will the tournaments be streamed but some of the special guests will be on the stream as well.

Those who happen to attend, we hope to hear from you in our comments on how you felt the event went.
