Some users have been having problems downloading the Kenshi and Skarlet DLC packs properly after purchasing the Season Pass option on the Xbox 360. You must download the content from the game menus itself not the Xbox Marketplace, or else you may be charged again for the items.

So please be sure follow the instructions below sent to us by Warner Bros to prevent being double charged for your DLC content after purchasing the Season Pass.

Thank you for purchasing the Mortal Kombat Season Pass on Xbox 360. Once the Season Pass has been purchased, you must access all downloadable content using the menus within the Mortal Kombat game. WARNING: If you access DLC through the Xbox Marketplace after purchasing the Season Pass and not through the steps below, Microsoft will charge you full price for that item.

To properly access DLC for those who purchased the Season Pass, please follow the directions below:

1. From the main menu, select EXTRAS

2. In the EXTRAS menu, select DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT

3. You will be presented with a list of DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT. Buy the Season Pass first if you haven't yet already.

4. Page through the menu to find the specific content you are looking for. The Character DLC (Kenshi and Skarlet) should both show "0 Microsoft Points" to purchase them now.

5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download your content. Make sure it says "This Download: FREE" as the screenshot does below.

If you experience any problems with downloadable content or the Season Pass, please contact WB Games Customer Service Department by calling (410) 568-3680 or via email at support@wbgames.com.

Hope this helps anyone with problems seeing charges for DLC after buying the Season Pass.

Update 9pm CST: We made some updates to the DLC Season Pass guide above with some screenshots and extra clarification.

The third and last known DLC character for Mortal Kombat (2011) has been released as a render to the community. Rain debuted first in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as a purple ninja tease in the arcade game's attract mode. The character was never playable until the console versions. While this is the last known DLC character, there is at least one character left that NetherRealm Studios has not announced the name of yet.

As has been the case with the previous two characters, Skarlet and Kenshi, there will also be a free compatibility pack released in conjunction with the Rain DLC character. The free compatibility packs have featured free retro skins and Rain's release appears to follow in this manner. NRS Community Manager, Rigo Cortes has been teasing on about who's skins are being included in the pack, mentioning "blueberry and lime". Anyone care to guess who he could be referring to?

Earlier this week the Rain Story Vignette trailer was released as an exclusive to a few websites. Now today we got our copy to share with our readers, which you can watch below. It goes into depth on the origins of Rain's story so when you buy him next week you are up to speed on his origins.

Along with the new trailer, Warner Bros sent along a press release that revealed that the included skins coming with Rain will actually be Mortal Kombat 2 Inspired Kitana and Jade costumes. These appear to be the much teased Blueberry and Lime costumes we've heard teased before.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios present an all-new video introducing players to the latest DLC warrior, Rain, a power-hungry fighter who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. The third of four new downloadable warriors, Rain will be available on Microsoft Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on PlayStation Network starting on July 19th. Rain will be available on the same date for users who have purchased the Microsoft Season Pass. Also releasing on that date will be a free compatibility pack featuring two klassic skins – Mortal Kombat 2-inspired Jade and Kitana.

According to Community Manager Rigo Cortes we may see a trailer for these costumes sometime tomorrow.

As with previous DLC releases, when the Rain DLC releases next week Tuesday he will be joined with some new classic costumes. As announced yesterday, the costumes for this pack will be Mortal Kombat 2 inspired costumes for Kitana and Jade. Below are the first look renders at the new outfits.

As well, here is the gameplay trailer for the new costumes so you can see them in action courtesy of the Official Mortal Kombat YouTube Channel.

As with previous Klassic costume releases these costumes will be free and won't require the purchase of Rain. If you don't buy the DLC the skins will be contained in the Mortal Kombat Compatibility Pack #3 for no cost.

So is everyone excited for the upcoming Rainstorm?
