Great news! Mortal Kombat has been nominated for Best Fighting Game of the Year for the 2011 Spike VGAs! So be sure to go and cast your vote!

This year's Spike Video Game Awards will air on Spike TV on December 10th, 2011. There has been a history of Warner Bros. Games and other publishers making big upcoming game announcements, like the Kratos announcement last year, so it's usually worth tuning in.

Updated 1:45pm: Appears that Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat was also Nominated for Best DLC. Go give him some votes as well or he may haunt your dreams!

I voted for MK. Aside from the MK nomination, I'm also tuning in because Konami JPN said that they would give us more info on Metal Gear Solid Rising. CAN'T WAIT!!! EDIT: Even though I hate guest characters in this game, I voted for Freddy because I want MK to get as many awards as possible.

Voted all for MK. Disappointed in the GOTY choices. Where was Rage? I voted for Portal 2, even though MK is my GOTY, still playing every other day since release. Love it.

Freddy Krueger will NOT get my vote for best DLC for 2 reasons. 1) He's a pedophile 2) He was once beaten by a 1980s hair band by the name of Dokken
